Angus Gunn Commits to Scotland in International Football

From England to the Tartan Army

Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn has made the switch from England to Scotland in international football. The 26-year-old, who was born in England but qualifies for Scotland through his Scottish mother, has committed his future to the Tartan Army and will be available for selection for Euro 2024 qualifiers later this month.

Gunn's Journey to Scotland

Gunn has made an impressive start to his Norwich City career, establishing himself as the club's number one goalkeeper and helping the Canaries to promotion from the Championship last season. His performances have caught the eye of Scotland manager Steve Clarke, who has offered Gunn the chance to represent his mother's homeland.

Gunn has stated that he is "honored and proud" to be called up by Scotland and that he believes the team has a "bright future." He is expected to make his international debut in the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Cyprus and Spain later this month.

A Boost for Scotland

Gunn's decision to switch allegiance is a boost for Scotland, who have been in need of a reliable goalkeeper in recent years. Gunn has proven his quality at club level and is expected to bring stability and experience to the national team.

Clarke will be hoping that Gunn can help Scotland improve their results and qualify for their first major tournament since the 1998 World Cup.
